About the Areas in Downtown Vancouver

Downtown Vancouver is situated on a peninsula bounded by water on two sides and Stanley Park on the other. On the north side is Burrard Inlet, and the luxury residential towers of Coal Harbour nestle on the shore. On the south side is False Creek, and the surrounding area close to its shore is known as False Creek North & or Yaletown. To the west from Burrard Street to around English Bay and Stanley park is the West End (one of Vancouver's older neighbourhoods). At the centre is the area known as Downtown, a combination of business and residential use, with historic Gastown in the east of the downtown area.

This may be confusing, and even locals do not know where these neighbourhoods officially begin and end; so you may see some listings in Coal Harbour that actually are Downtown and some that are False Creek North that are Downtown! So maybe check them all and send us an email and we will do the searching for you!
